  Liners

 We produce our liners in two formats:

 MP24 (24 cell tray) plug size 8cm diameter x 10cm deep

 MP35 (35 cell tray) plug size 6.5cm diameter x 7cm deep

Our quality control starts at potting where we pre-grade all our rooted cuttings before potting into the trays. We cover the surface of the trays with a mulch to eliminate moss & liverwort growth and control weeds without using any chemical sprays. In this way we start with a uniform and clean product.

All MaxiPlugs are regularly pinched to produce a liner with as many breaks as possible. If required we can leave them unpinched for customers to train into standards.

During the entire cultural period Effective Microorganisms® are used to improve root growth and boost the plants natural defenses. This coupled with a cool growing regime results in a robust liner that will continue to develop strongly after potting up on your nursery.

  Added Value

Our special selection of Conifers, Evergreen Shrubs, Grasses  and Ferns grown in MaxiPlugs suitable for using in planted arrangements.

They are much easier and faster to work with than traditional pot liners. We are used to contract growing these varieties to suit customers production programs throughout the year.

Rooted Cuttings

Every year we are being asked to grow more rooted cuttings in 104 and 84 cell trays.

This is one of the areas of our business that we are planning to greatly expand.

In this way we can cater for customers for whom a would be too large a size for them to handle.
